In 2012 MES established an industrial video surveillance system for the western part of West-East Natural Gas Transmission Project. This transmission pipeline is 2459km, including 1 initial station, 12 medium compressor stations, 1 liaison compressor station, 2 liaison stations, 1 distribution station and 2 valve rooms.

All process stations transmit their own industrial surveillance videos to its west branch headquarters, and Beijing surveillance platforms as well.
